A mother whose daughter accidentally strangled on the cord of a blind wants people to back an American petition.
Amanda O’Halloran has been campaigning for blind cord safety since the death of her daughter Sophia in June 2013.
The petition in the USA asks that a mandatory standard is put in place to make cords inaccessible on window coverings.
Amanda, 23, hopes that change in America would set a precedent and spur change in the UK.
